On May 29, 2003, Damian Meehan's 34th birthday, the City of New York honored him by renaming 207th Street in Manhattan "Damian Meehan Way."Damian grew up there, and loved his old neighborhood as an adult; where his parents still reside. Little did anyone know that the street where he played as a youth, would someday come to bear his name.

The street sign is a lasting reminder to the community and the world that we must never forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice on that tragic day. The Meehan Family will be forever grateful to the City of New York for this tribute in memory of our beloved Damian.
